Medical Relief Program
This program supplies hundreds of people with medical supplies that are scarce, and often not available. We support hospitals, clinics, and individuals with specific needs and life saving medical aid. We pack hockey bags and suitcases with medical supplies such as wound care, IV, respiratory, urinary and colostomy, surgical and specialty items, needles and syringes, laboratory supplies, over the counter medications, prescription medications, surgical gloves and gowns, and orthopaedic supplies. Through tourists going on vacation, we send the aid by suitcase, which is then picked up at the airport or hotel and delivered to a location where the aid is sorted and prepared for disbursing to many areas in rural and inner city communities who rarely see tourists.
If you would like to donate medical items directly to us, you may do so via this Amazon link.
Medical Sea Container Shipments
We also collect donations for quarterly container shipments of medical equipment and devices. Donations are disbursed throughout Cuba to hospitals and clinics.
If you would like to donate items such as hospital beds, wheelchairs or other medical equipment, please contact us.
Children’s Homes
Our 2 Children’s home in Matanzas and 1 in Cárdenas are sponsored and supported by the friends and partners of Together For Cuba for the past 10 years. During that time, numerous changes have been undertaken. New washrooms, showers, windows, doors, fans in every room, kitchen appliances, new laundry room with a new washer, a new chest freezer and numerous supplies for the home and children to name a few. With the valued support of many friends and partners and the tourists who have visited the children’s home, all of these changes have been made possible.
We currently support 2 orphanages in Matanzas and 1 in Cárdenas and 1 in Holguin.
The Baby Orphanages have several children ages 0-6 years old. We provide humanitarian aid such as medications, clothing, bedding, appliances, food, maintenance, and many other needs.
The Older Children’s Home is just a short walk from the Baby Orphanage, and has several children ages 7-18 years old. With several projects being completed over the years, we continue to provide daily necessities to the children including larger needs such as generators.
The orphanages we support are deeply committed to seeing each child is being raised and loved by their faithful staff. At Together For Cuba, we believe that caring for orphans is our God given priority that must be nurtured and intentionally focused upon to be effective and lasting.
Our hope, is to expand the awareness of these orphanages, so that others can be a part of making a difference in the lives of these children.
About Our Team
Our Director, Jennifer Raymer, has been serving in Cuba for over 10 years. She has a true passion for Cuba, her people, and in particular, providing assistance to Cuban children.
I was called to serve the people of Cuba 10 years ago with the ministry of Together For Cuba, in orphanages in Matanzas. Our humanitarian mission is aiding and assisting in various locations in Matanzas, Mayabeque, Havana and Holguin areas, and all of Cuba. Together For Cuba provides tangible needs to orphanages, hospitals, local clinics and to individuals and families in each area. We focus on medical needs, food supply, basic daily needs, educational activities and ESL (English as a Second Language) education for the children, and construction, as well as relationship building in the local communities.

The Story
Although Cuba is a very popular tourist destination for thousands of Canadians each year, Jennifer Raymer, Missionary and founder of Together For Cuba, travels to various sites in Cuba away from the beaches and resorts, assisting the Cuban people in a variety of ways. Cuba is a beautiful country with beautiful people, but most tourists do not see beyond the resort areas. In 2011, Jennifer embarked on a trip that changed her life. During this time, the poverty and overwhelming need of the local people in the inner cities and rural communities captured her heart. Jennifer has been doing missions since she was a teenager, volunteering in several areas, but she knew that there was a greater purpose for her.
It wasn’t long before Jennifer returned to Cuba with her heart forever changed and medical aid luggage in hand. Little did she know that in 2017, she would begin her journey with the orphanages in Matanzas and helping with major medical aid all across Cuba. In 2018, Jennifer joined MissionGO as a licensed Missionary. MissionGo is a Registered Charity, that supports Missionaries all over the world, showing the light, love and hope through Jesus Christ.
Jennifer’s vision for her ministry grew. She began taking Mission Team’s down to Cuba. This Cuban Encounter touches the hearts of those who volunteer over a week by helping in the orphanages, immersing in the life of Cubans by delivering aid into communities and homes. She also began her Medical Aid Relief Program and responded to crisis situations by sending supplies by air and through sea containers all over Cuba. She has successfully ran a Food Program during the Pandemic which sponsored over 500 families and both of the orphanages in Matanzas. Jennifer has a great understanding of the Cuban life as she fully immerses herself in the daily life of the locals and often stays in a Cuban home when she is in the field.
Today, she continues to work full time in this ministry, both here in Canada and in Cuba, with the valued support of those who have partnered alongside her. Many supporters of Together For Cuba have become regular financial supporters after vacationing in Cuba and having a greater understanding of the difficulties the Cuban people face. Together For Cuba is a mission operating under the umbrella of MissionGo.
We trust as you browse these pages and see the areas of concern and ministry and review the many photographs of what Together For Cuba has accomplished because of it’s supporters. You too will see and understand the need to respond to help the children and people of Cuba and become part of the team and partner with us. Thank you and God Bless You!
